Do you really need a dedicated Ivanti Administrator or Ivanti Consultant?

When you google “Ivanti Consultant” be prepared for a shock! Some of the dedicated Ivanti consulting packages go for as high as $321.23 USD per hour and $111,447.07 Australian dollars for 3 months…

Plus, Ivanti and Ivanti Business Partners will often insist on multiple junior consultants that wear a “senior” title PLUS a project manager… which in theory might sound great but in reality, too many chefs in the kitchen start a fire. And that’s one expensive fire!!

Price aside, do you really need a dedicated Ivanti Administrator, Ivanti Consultant, or Ivanti Developer???

or can you configure your Ivanti Service Manager (HEAT ITSM), aka Ivanti Neurons for ITSM implementation yourself?

There is a better option! A freelance consultant that truly is senior, based on # of implementations, that works directly with you and your administrator.

I once met a project manager that proudly announced he had 2 years of experience and 2 implementations…

I had a good chuckle as I’ve been in the game for 27+ years with 100+ implementations worldwide in the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Canada, and the US.

I would argue that anyone with less than 50 Ivanti Implementations and less than 20 years of experience is junior… but stats and KPIs alone mean nothing.

You need to have a discovery session with the consultant (ONE consultant that is, it’s a red flag if you have a team of people on a discovery call…) and gauge their experience level.
